Today was my friend Maddy's birthday. She turned 17 today! I realized I had nothing to wear tonight, so I headed over to the mall. I went into Urban Outfitters and Steve Madden and managed to find some really cute things..including my skirt and my shoes! I am in love with neon colors right now, so this neon laced skirt was perfect! I love the back of it. I also got my hands on these Steve Madden platforms. Weirdly enough, I do not own a simple pair of platforms, so I figured I should get a pair. I had a $50 gift card to Steve Madden, so these shoes (originally $89) turned out to be basaically $39. Pretty sweet deal. I also got a couple other cute things at Urban that I can't wait to wear! 

So, a bunch of our best friends went to the Continental in Philly for dinner. Such amazing food there. We rented a party bus to take us there and home and it was so much fun! Some of us (including myself) got up and danced...even though the bus was moving all over the place. It is quite hard to dance on a moving bus in 5 inch heels and a short skirt. We also somehow managed to run..yes run..up the stairs of the art museum...for no reason. I surprised myself by running up those billions of stairs without falling on my face. But, all in all...it was a really fun night with all of my best friends!

Altuzarra Fall '12

Joesph Altuzarra is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers. He won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2011...and theres a reason why. I fell in love with his Fall 2011 collection with those amazing parkas mixed with the feminine dresses...and he just keeps getting better! My favorite looks are the black skirt with the leather jacket and wide belt...and the look with the green jacket. Many have said that this is his best collection yet...and I'm starting to think they are absolutely right! 

Derek Lam Fall '12

Loving the subtle 60's vibe in this collection. You will notice that basically every single collection this season has been filled with midi-skirts and dresses. I have not seen one single short skirt other than in the Proenza Schouler collection (which is probably my favorite collection...I'll do a post on that later.) I love the quirky prints on some of the pieces. Prints are becoming a huge love of mine lately. I will always love a simple look....but fashion is supposed to be fun! That printed suit is definitely one of my favorite pieces in the collection. The abstract colors in it make it all the more better and fun! I also love the white gown with the black capped sleeves. I can't really tell what fabric its made out of....but I love it! Another little trend I'm seeing on the runways are collars. They've been a hit on the runway for a season or two...and I love it. Love ittt! 

Phillip Lim Fall '12

Phillip Lim was soooo good this season. I love everything from the metal-ish collars, to the chokers, to those gold booties. It looks so well put together, but cool at the same time. Phillip Lim has always been one of my favorite designers.

Ah, fashion week! Can't wait till I can actually go myself and see all the wonderful collections and people! This is just some more street style that I've been looking at. There have been some ah-mazing collections I've seen so far! I can't wait to share them all with you! It is way passed my bed time. Two more days until the weekend! We have off on Monday for Presidents Day. I have to go to sleep...these past couple of days I've been going to bed around 12 for some reason...I have no idea why. Hopefully I can post again tomorrow!
