Fox News: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

You're all probably reading the headline and thinking: Fox News? What the hell do they have to do with fashion? Those were my exact thoughts when I saw that they were covering Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on the Bill O'Reilly Show. They were interviewing fashion insiders only to objectify and stereotype everyone who works in the industry by saying that we have no idea what is going on in this world. They commenting on how we don't know anything about Paul Ryan or the economy. Commenting about how all we care about is picking out the "perfect $6,000 dress" and that money isn't an object to us. Since you think a million people and myself are so stupid, I hope it was worth the thousands of dollars you spent on talking about us. You just spent thousands of dollars to judge a million people who you don't know. I am so incredibly sick of hearing how stupid everybody is who works in fashion. How incredibly ignorant of Fox News and anyone who objectifies people like that. Just because somebody works in the fashion industry DOES NOT mean that they can't have an intellectual conversation about the world, politics or the economy. Just because I work in an indsutry dealing with clothing means that I don't have a voice? Billy O'Reilly, what the hell did the fashion industry ever do to you? If there wasn't a fashion industry, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE CLOTHES ON YOUR BACK RIGHT NOW. Please feel free to contact me and I will show you exactly how much I "don't know" about the world.

Reem Acra SS 2013

Definitely in my top three favorite collections of NYFW. Holy crap. I can not get over how incredibly stunning these dresses are. I mean... So much beautiful detail in all of them. The lace, embellishment, color.... everything about these dresses is perfect. Everything. Reem Acra also had incredibly strong day wear. How awesome is that motorcycle jacket? But again, the buzz is really over all of these incredible gowns. I am just speechless. Their beauty honestly just overcomes me.

Sass and Bide SS 2013

Sass and Bide... recently has become one of my favorite designers. These dresses are gorgeous. I love the blazer with the sequined maxi skirt. Such a unique way to get dressed up rather than wearing a short, tight dress. The short suits are amazing as well. So pretty and fresh for spring...but fierce at the same time. The leg slits on these dresses are incredibly sexy. Thank you Angelina Jolie for that one! As I said in my Marc Jacobs post..."black and white" is a huge trend for next spring... no exception here! If I owned every single one of these items...I would be the happiest girl alive! They're all amazing.

Marc Jacobs SS 2013

Stripes, stripes, stripes.....everywhere. Vertical, horizontal, every single way. Whether the stripes are black and white, nude, sequined...all of these pieces are gorgeous. And it looks like the sixties are back... which I also love. Black and white is going to be a huge trend for next spring! Look out for it!

Jenny Packham SS 2013

I am in love with Jenny Packham's SS 2013 collection! Some have said that there is way too much embellishment on the pieces, but I beg to differ. In my opinion, you can never have too much sparkle! These party dresses are adorable! For those of you who get to dress up for your homecoming dance, the embellished shift dresses are perfect! The evening gowns are gorgeous as well! This is such a young and fun collection!
